Poem: The Crooked Tree

It stood in the park,
Deserted by the flowers of spring,
Left alone by birds,
And ignored by visitors.

Will life be any different,
If ignored in our vanities,
Left alone for unending pleasures,
And deserted by the sweet scent of truth?
